Vegetable Pizza

Homemaking Tip #6

Start with freshly milled, soft white wheat. Make your favorite pizza dough recipe. Roll out real thin on a stone and bake in an oven preheated to 450 degrees just until the top is dry.

To this, add a thin layer of home-canned spaghetti sauce.

Sprinkle with grated zucchini (Grate, salt, let sit for 30 minutes to draw out the water. Squeeze dry before putting on pizza.), cut and sauteed Swiss chard, and home-canned, sweet red peppers. Top that with extra-sharp, white cheddar and bake again until the cheese is bubbling and just starting to brown.

Let sit 15 minutes before cutting.

Enjoy!

  3. Karen, I could give you many ideas for chard and zuchinni after the last few weeks.

Christina...Oh, if I could only deliver to the frosty cold Northwest! It's at least 100 today and I'm working from my car with no a/c :|
