And the Winner is...

Ever wonder what happens to a day? Or a week? You wake up with all the best laid plans on your calendar and one thing or another happens to waylay you. That is why we need to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit in our lives...whether it's homeschooling the children, planting the potatoes, or just doing the wash. Let Him lead.

Well, this doesn't just happen to my domestic world, it happens to my writing world as well. But that is okay. The most monumental thing I have learned in the last 25 years is to be flexible. My husband purposed to teach me this from the first week of our marriage because I was so rigid; and the children have inadvertently taught me this just by being children. So, this week I'm applying this flexibility to this blog.

Today, I had scheduled to announce the winner of Raising Real Men...which I will do here in a moment. But I had also planned to review another book on preparing to be a grandparent. However, I've tried several times and several ways to contact the author of this book to confirm the review and giveaway and she has not responded. So, I have been praying for her and her family.

In light of this delay, I will fill this week with the kinds of posts you are accustomed to reading here and next week, as scheduled, will review and give away a copy of The Only Homeschool Co-op Booklet You Need to Start Your Very Own Best Co-op Ever! I will review the grandparenting book once I reach the author for confirmation.

So...
without further ado...
the winner of a brand new copy of Raising Real Men
(by my 10 year old drawing out of the little cup) is
KAREN LANGE.

Karen, I will be contacting you for your USPS address so that I can mail you your copy of this great book.

The rest of you, thanks for entering and have a great day,

  1. Oh Carol, what a wonderful surprise. Thank you! Was stopping by to say hello and got a bonus blessing. :D

Flexibility - yes, I can relate. I've learned to be more flexible over the years (like you, hubby and kids helped a lot!). Some days can still offer a challenge in this area, but by God's grace I am getting there!

    Thanks again, so much!

    Blessings,
    Karen
