We recently had our homeschool group's end-of-the-year picnic. You hear that question a lot at the picnic.
We've been out and about quite a bit lately. Everyone in our small town knows we homeschool. I guess since it's spring we've been hearing that question a lot.
"Are you done with school for the year, yet?"
I hate that question.
We are forever done with school. We are never done with learning.
That is my final answer.
Blessings to you all--still schooling or not,
Love that answer.
ReplyDeleteI am also not fond of the question and it reminds me of the question...
"How come you are not in school today?"
Arrrggghhh.
And, "How's school going?"
ReplyDeleteI can't homeschool my kids but I make the most of the summer to "home school" them in many ways. My daughter is learning about keeping a home, meal preparations, laundry, etc. My son is attending summer school for June but in July he will begin training too. I don't work very long hours (5-7 a day) so I am able to spend a few hours instructing and enjoying watching them learn! You are right! The learning NEVER stops!
ReplyDeleteMonica, Everyone has to do what is right and works for their own family. Sounds like you're doing a great job.
ReplyDeleteI just say "we're done with the book part of school for the year. But, we're never through learning."
